When welding with a coated electrode or an electric arc, the metal rod filled into the joint of the workpieces melts. The material of the electrode is usually the same as that of the workpiece. What type of electrode should be used when welding precision welded pipes?

1. During manual arc welding, electrodes with a strength grade of T50—such as J506, J507, J502, J503, J552, and J553—should be used.


2. For submerged arc welding and automatic welding, use fluxes 431 and 350, in combination with coated electrodes such as H08A, H08MnA, H10MnA, or H10MnSi.


3. In 3.CO2 gas-shielded welding, H08Mn2Si and H10MnSi are commonly used.
